VIA Cements its Launch in Australia with New Country Manager Glendon Evarts

Glendon Evarts has been appointed as Country Manager to spearhead Australian operations. Operating out of Sydney, VIA will be improving the communications of businesses through its unique fully hosted Skype for Business solution.

By Suzanne Whetton

Glendon says:We’ve seen a gap in the market for hosted unified communications and we believe we can make an immediate impact on the business landscape. Currently, organisations are not benefitting from the modern communications they need and demand.”

Glendon has over ten years’ experience managing Contact Centre Operations, in professional & financial services in Australia and the UK.

“It’s an exhilarating prospect for me to enhance and expand the communications capabilities of Australian companies. VIA has a great reputation in the UK and works with customers all over the globe including Australia. The opportunity to build the VIA brand in Australia that has been such a success in the UK was an opportunity that I could not afford to pass up”, says Glendon.

VIA’s Sales Director, Alex Tebbs says, “We are expanding in Australia as there are no other cloud-based Skype for Business offerings which can provide our advanced unified communication functionality. In addition, we work with many multi-national companies who have a presence in Australia, and we are constantly improving our local services. We already have a local partner base, and we are actively replicating the successes and growth that we have had in the UK.”

VIA has deployed its services into the Equinix Datacentre in Sydney – VIA’s global DC partner with local connectivity and carrier relationships established.
